      What exactly is Web. 2.0?

I think the idea of surveys and Survey Monkey is something I will be using for my Action Research Topic.

Survey Monkey is a fantastic idea to collect data. We are required to do several a year for grants and technology programs. We are a one-to-one school and each student 4th grade through 12th have a laptop so this would be a great way to collect data from students or focus groups. Thanks for reminding me that I can apply the tools I am required to use to my own research project!

I had the same question - what is Web 2.0? (I am beginning to realize I don't know that much about technology!). I am going to utilize Survey Monkey as well, and excited about trying something outside my comfort zone!

Web 2.0 is something that I would like to see used more with my students. I wonder if our lack of understanding will slow down the implementation of using these tools? In working with your students or teachers which Web 2.0 tools do they like working with and how could you expand their use?

Web 2.0 tools are things such as blogs, wikis, google sites, RSS feeds, and many others. My primary focus will be on blogs and wikis (or google sites).
William, I hope to be able to work with teachers to help ease implementation. But, at this point, I'm still collecting data to see who currently uses any of these tools and to what extent they are used. I'll definitely keep you updated!

Sara, your plan appears very detailed and well thought out. I like the way you implemented surveys before and after your plan to evaluate your project goals. Good Luck!

Sara, you made some very smart choices with your plan, and topic. I read in the above post that you're running into roadblocks. This happens, and you will work through it. It is clear you put a lot of forethought into the plan, and it will pay off with impactful results.
